ARA Mentoring Program application period is open

Apr. 17, 2022

The American Rental Association (ARA) Mentoring Program, which will become part of the ARA Foundation supporting the education pillar on July 1, is open to all members. Those interested in participating in the program as a mentor or mentee are encouraged to apply for the next round of matches that will take place in July.

The ARA Mentoring program was launched in 2021 and is designed to help members connect with others in the equipment and event rental industry. The benefits of participating in the mentoring program include:

  • Gaining or increasing knowledge of the industry.
  • Enhancing leadership skills.
  • Strategic career planning.

Feedback from participants of the ARA Mentoring Program’s pilot run in 2021 suggest that the relationships forged through the program are just what those who are newer to the industry need to develop and grow as leaders.

“[The ARA Mentoring Program] has provided me with an outside resource and professional relationship where I can turn for guidance and advice,” says Sarah Bolich, the new CEO and owner of Arrow Lifts Rentals Corp. in Dallas, who was paired with mentor Stephanie Rajzbaum, vice president of operations, Durante Rentals, New Rochelle, N.Y. “Stephanie provides positive feedback and constructive criticism where I need it, making me a better leader for my operation. It also has helped me develop in my career by providing a well-rounded knowledge base. Stephanie has been another avenue of support so I can make the best decisions for my team as we grow.”

Those interested in the ARA Mentoring program should click here to apply. Login is required to view and complete the online application form. Once ARA receives your mentor or mentee form, the team will match you based on your interests.

With the program moving under the ARA Foundation umbrella of services, mentors and mentees may apply for financial assistance to hold an in-person meeting during the year.
