Webinar: New tent ballasting tool designed to help the event industry

Sep. 18, 2022

Knowing how much ballast is necessary to safely secure a tent is a big challenge for those in the event rental industry, but a new ballasting tool has been designed to help. After years of study and research, the tool is designed to allow the tent industry the opportunity to better answer how much ballasting is needed and give code officials tangible information so they know a tent was set up safely.

During the Non-Engineered Ballasting Tool Overview and Demonstration webinar, presented by the American Rental Association (ARA) and the Advanced Textiles Association Tent Rental Division (TRD), attendees can learn about the ballasting tool, see how it works and learn more about why ARA and TRD partnered to create it.

In the webinar, attendees will hear from:

  • Dan Hooks, CERP, president and CEO, Party Reflections, Charlotte, N.C., and ARA board chair
  • Michael Tharpe, national sales manager, Rainier Industries, Tukwila, Wash., and TRD chairman
  • Alex Renaud, president and owner, Fiesta Tents, Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Canada, and TRD code committee chair

The webinar will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, from 1–2 p.m. Eastern time. It is free for all ARA members and non-members. Click here to register.
