New products introduced at World of Concrete 2022

World of Concrete 2022 took place Jan. 18-20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Exhibits featured original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) from around the world and exclusive U.S. distributors of equipment, tools, products and services for the commercial construction, concrete and masonry industries. The event hosted more than 1,100 industry suppliers and close to 37,000 registered professionals. Some of the products introduced by exhibitors at the trade show that could be of interest to those in equipment rental include:

Brokk silica dust solution

The atomized water mist system from Brokk, Monroe, Wash., is designed to combat harmful silica dust and other airborne particles created by the demolition process. The system produces an atomized fog that binds dust particles in the air while also providing ground-level dust suppression. The mister is available for Brokk models 170, 200, 300, 500, 520D and 900.

Makita USA cordless solutions

Makita USA, La Mirada, Calif., presented a full range of cordless solutions to replace gas-powered and corded tool products. Two cordless systems featured were the 18V/36V LXT and 40V/80V XGT. One of the many products included the new 80V max (40V max X2) XGT® 14-in. power cutter (GEC01). The product will be available soon in 2022 and has low noise and zero emissions. The cutter has 5 in. of cutting capacity.

Minnich Manufacturing concrete vibrator

The electric flex shaft  control speed vibrator (CSV) from Minnich Manufacturing, Mansfield, Ohio, is connected through Bluetooth and the Minnich app through an iOS or Android device. Operators can choose between set speeds of 6,000, 8000, and 10,500 and open vpm. A 15-amp (115V) universal motor drives a full line of Minnich shafts and heads, and comes standard with a quick disconnect that adapts to the vibrators of many manufacturers.

Vacuworx vacuum lifting systems

The PS1/PHD portable lifting system from Vacuworx, Tulsa, Okla., is designed for smaller lifting challenges on the job or in the shop. Engineered for bother interior and exterior applications, the battery-powered lifters can lift up to 1,700 lbs. The PHD features a twin pump design, remote control and a lift capacity of 2,500 lbs.

Xtreme Manufacturing, Snorkel, telehandlers and scissor lifts

Xtreme Manufacturing, Henderson, Nev., along with sister company, Snorkel, Elwood, Kan., showcased a number of telehandlers and scissor lifts. The 65,500-lb. Xtreme XR1585-C from Xtreme Manufacturing is 102 in. wide with a stowed height of 10 ft. 1 in. and a turning radius of 16 ft. 8 in. The telehandler offers a forward reach of 67 ft. and a lift capacity of 15,000 lbs. The company also highlighted an upgraded Xtreme XR1255-B model utilizing the latest chassis design.

Snorkel highlighted two new large-deck, rough-terrain construction scissor lift families. The Snorkel S9043RT represents the high-capacity family, reaching a maximum working height of 49 ft. and is capable of lifting a platform capacity of up to 1,500 lbs. Showcasing the new ultra-high capacity family, the Snorkel S9043RT-HC also reaches a maximum working height of 49 ft. but can lift up to 3,500 lbs. and comes with a full-size pallet gate.
