Jan. 16, 2022

The ARA Foundation is ready to help you pay for school with 64 scholarships worth a total of $128,500 for the 2022-2023 school year. The deadline to apply for the free money is March 7.

Employees in a rental business and/or a manufacturer/supplier operation; immediate family members (spouse, daughter or son) of the rental business owner; and American Rental Association (ARA) student members pursuing a higher education program that supports a career in the equipment and event rental industry may apply for:

  • ARA Foundation Trade School Scholarships

  • ARA Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

  • ARA Foundation Graduate Scholarships

  • ARA Foundation ARA Student Member Scholarships

  • Affiliate program scholarships

See how the scholarships made a big difference for a few of the recipients from last year who are pursuing rental-related careers:

“I’m grateful to have received the ARA Foundation scholarship. It means a lot to me because it will help me offset the out-of-state tuition at the University of Michigan. I’m also grateful to the ARA of Florida board for the ARA of Florida scholarship because it has given me additional money to offset tuition. The rental association means a lot to me as I look to become a third-generation event rental owner,” says Ryan Wechsler, Atlas Event Rental, Boynton Beach, Fla., who received an ARA Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship and an ARA of Florida scholarship for a total of $4,500.

“I am feeling extremely blessed. Between bills and paying for school on my own, I have always doubted my ability to finish school. This scholarship is not only supporting me financially, but also encouraging me emotionally in ways I did not know possible. Knowing that the ARA Foundation believes in me enough to honor me with this scholarship makes me feel supported and not alone,” says Nancy Clippard, Houston ToolBank, Houston, who received the Texas Rental Association/Bill Loomer Houston Area Rental Association Scholarship worth $2,000.

“Going into my senior year in mechanical engineering, this scholarship helps in alleviating some of the burden of these last two semesters. As I approach my senior project while preparing to graduate, the generosity of ARA is not lost on this student,” says Mark DeLeon Jr., PMT Forklift Corp., West Babylon, N.Y., who received an ARA of New York Scholarship worth $1,250.

More than $128,000 is on the line. Click here to apply before the March 7, 2022, deadline.
