John Deere mulchers and brush cutters

Jan. 16, 2022

John Deere, Moline, Ill., has added the ME36 and ME50 mulchers and the RE40 and RE50 rotary brush cutters to its family of excavator attachments. The ME36 and ME50 mulchers are equipped with knife-style cutting teeth on a split ring rotor. The spiral, double helix tool pattern and innovative tool shape allow for cutting mulch up to 5-in. material. A controlled and metered cutting depth allows the operator to maintain high rotor rpm and a productive mulching rate.

The RE40 and RE50 brush cutters have three swinging blades mounted to a blade carrier that can fell and cut material up to 6 in. in diameter. A heavy-duty hinged debris shield retracts when the head is engaged with trees and brush, exposing the blades and allowing for aggressive cuts.

The mulchers are available as dealer installed kits for the John Deere 50/60 and 75/85 model excavators. The rotary brush cutters are available as dealer installed kits for the John Deere 35, 50/60 and 75/85 model excavators.
