Virtual 5K to be featured at the show today

Oct. 19, 2021

Make good use of your steps on the show floor today by participating in the new Virtual 5K, which supports the ARA Foundation and its programs.

Participants will be tracking their steps on the show floor today wearing a specially-designed race shirt, giving virtual high-fives to fellow racers and submitting pictures of the fun.

Also, don’t forget to challenge Wayne Walley, ARA vice president of publishing. He is personally contributing $25 in the name of the first 20 people who prove they exceed him in steps today. Participants can report their final tally to Wayne at the ARA Resource Center tomorrow between 9 and 10 a.m. or by submitting screen shots from the app by email to wayne.walley@ararental.org. If you accept the challenge and don’t exceed the number of steps that Wayne logs, challengers agree to pledge an additional $25 to The ARA Foundation.

The Virtual 5K — sponsored by FTG Equipment Solutions; John Deere; Point of Rental Software; and Sullair, A Hitachi Group Co. — also can be completed anytime, anywhere through Oct. 31.

Registration is $35 per person and includes a shirt, medal and fun items from the sponsors. Learn more and register here.

Proceeds are invested back into the ARA Foundation — a public, charitable 501(c)3 organization — to support its programs, which include scholarships, employee training assistance, disaster relief and the Community Impact Program partnership with The Toro Company Foundation.
