New ways to support your industry at the show

Virtual 5K, Online Auction to help fund ARA Foundation programs

Each year at The ARA Show™, attendees and exhibitors have the opportunity to give back to the equipment and event rental industry through fun networking events supporting the ARA Foundation. Two brand-new events will be offered this year: the Virtual 5K and the Online Auction.

The ARA Foundation serves as the heart of the equipment and event rental industry. Through its programs, the foundation creates educational opportunities by offering scholarships and financial assistance for professional training; supports communities while raising the profile of rental locally through the Community Impact Program partnership with The Toro Company Foundation; and provides recovery assistance to rental industry companies and their employees that have been affected by natural disasters.

Virtual 5K. On Tuesday, Oct. 19, attendees can support the ARA Foundation by wearing a specially-designed race shirt and tracking their steps on the show floor that day. Participants also can submit pictures and give virtual high-fives to other “racers.” Whether you choose to show your support by running or walking, the 5K can be completed anytime, anywhere from Oct. 17-31.

Registration is $35 per person and will include a shirt, medal and fun items from the event sponsors — John Deere, Sullair A Hitachi Group Company, Point of Rental Software and FTG Equipment Solutions.

Learn more and register at runsignup.com/Races.

Online auction. Running isn’t your style? No problem. You also can show your support by participating in an online auction starting Thursday, Oct. 14, and running through Monday, Oct. 25. In the tradition of past ARA Foundation auction fundraisers, a variety of items appealing to all industry segments will be up for bid. For more information and to view the growing list of items that will be available, go to bidpal.net/arafauction.

One hundred percent of the proceeds raised through these activities will be reinvested back into the ARA Foundation — a public, charitable, 501(c)3 organization — to help support its programs.
