Hello, American Rental Association (ARA) Region Two members.
When I assumed the position as Region Two director three years ago, 2022 seemed like a lifetime away. While everyone has their pandemic story to tell, I wish to point out a few of the things ARA has accomplished during my time on the board.

The RentalU education platform has been streamlined for easier navigation and strengthened with more segment-specific video offerings.

The Clean. Safe. Essential. campaign was swiftly developed in the early days of the pandemic to show consumers that rental companies have taken every reasonable precaution to keep them safe.

A comprehensive workforce development program was introduced, including the first rental-specific job board.

ARA membership focus was separated into an event segment and equipment segment, with fantastic leaders on both sides helping to grow the membership and raise awareness of rental.

An aggressive national marketing campaign was launched around videos and commercials created to raise customer awareness of the equipment and event rental segments.

The ARA Show™ successfully returned to Las Vegas in October 2021.

Looking ahead, ARA will launch a health insurance program for members in 2022.
These accomplishments were the result of the tremendous ARA staff, in partnership with some dedicated member volunteers, and their combined efforts toward fulfilling the association’s strategic plan. There are no words to express my gratitude and appreciation for all they have and continue to accomplish.
The ARA Foundation and its affiliate partners are offering $128,500 in scholarships for the 2022-2023 school year. If you, someone you know or even one of your employees currently attends school or plans to enroll to build or further a career in rental, these scholarships can help cut education expenses. The deadline to apply is March 7 — here is the application link.
As I wrap up my last message for In Your Region, I want to thank all past and present board members in the ARA state chapters of Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia for their hard work during my term. I appreciate each of you. I am also pleased to leave Region Two in the hands of my dear friend, Brian Richardson of L & A Tent Rentals, Hamilton, N.J. He will do great things for our region.
