After a forced hiatus in 2020, members of the Iowa equipment and event rental community were fired up to gather again at the ARA of Iowa’s annual summer social. This year, the event returned to Adventureland, where participants had a “fun-filled day” on Sunday, Aug. 8.
Popular Adventureland attractions like Breaker Beach Wavepool and new roller coasters (The Dragon Slayer) and old-school ones (the wooden, classic Tornado), in addition to lunch, were on tap at a discounted price for those who took part.
Joe Cox, rental manager, Capital City Equipment Co., Des Moines, Iowa, and an ARA of Iowa board member, says that as a blending of fun and connection with rental peers and their families, the event “definitely fit the bill.”
“The Adventureland outing was a big hit,” Cox says. “We had lots of members come out with their families. It is always nice to have events that include the people who have to deal with us after a very long day at the office. My family and I had a great time riding the rides and enjoying the water park. This was a great experience to get members and their families together to show how the ARA of Iowa is truly our family as well. Everyone I spoke with had nothing but wonderful things to say about this event.”
