After a forced hiatus in 2020, members of the Pennsylvania equipment and event rental community were eager to gather again at the ARA of Pennsylvania’s annual summer social duo: the Hersheypark Family Fun Day and the Pirates baseball game. This year, the events were hosted on consecutive Sundays between Aug. 8 and Aug. 15.
First up, on Sunday, Aug. 8, was the Hersheypark Family Fun Day, which offered access to all park rides and attractions, shows, water park and a catered lunch.
“The event was great. We had over 250 people attend the luncheon that we put together,” says Anna Yohman, marketing and sales coordinator, Miller’s Hardware and Rental, New Wilmington, Pa., and ARA of Pennsylvania vice president. “We had multiple comments from people that they were so happy the event happened this year and that they look forward to next year’s event. Everyone loved the luncheon as it provided a break from the heat with some shade cover and fans. Overall, it was a complete success and people appreciate that we do this event every year.”
One week later, on the western side of the state, a group outing at PNC Park to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. the Milwaukee Brewers took place. The game offered a view from the World Series Suite, complete with snacks and beverages.
“We had many state that the ballgame was enjoyable and a success,” says Jon Campbell, regional account executive, All Occasions Party Rental/Marbella Event Furniture, Eighty Four, Pa., and an ARA of Pennsylvania board member. “I would like to personally thank Walt Grimes from Fayette Rental Solutions for his efforts in making the pregame tailgate party special. This was the first time we had a pregame event and I’m sure it will be carried on for years to come.”
