In memoriam: Billy Roy Haynes

Billy Roy “B.R.” Haynes, 94, of Livingston, Texas, died March 13, 2021. He was the second-generation president of Little Beaver, Livingston. Haynes enlisted in the U.S. Merchant Marines and served in World War II before later joining the family business, Haynes Manufacturing Co.  now Little Beaver.

He initially worked as a salesman and took over the reins of the business after his father’s retirement. During his time as president, Haynes was instrumental in expanding the company’s involvement in the rental and fencing industries. After 27 years, he retired in 1987 and passed the business to his sons, Joe and John.

He is survived by his wife, Fayelene (Kersh) Haynes; sons, Joe (Nancy) Haynes, John (Londa) Haynes and David (Lisa) Haynes; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Haynes; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and his sister.
