New Jersey rental operators celebrated summer at Six Flags

On Sunday, Aug. 21, members of the New Jersey equipment and event rental community took advantage of the opportunity to treat their hardworking staff and family to lunch and a day at Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, N.J. — all at a discounted price courtesy of the ARA of New Jersey.

All park attractions and a group lunch were on tap for the more than 300 participants, including a team of 30 from Grand True Value Rental, Hackettstown, N.J. “We participated to celebrate our employees,” says Steven Lusby, the company’s general manager, who also serves as ARA of New Jersey president. “My favorite part of the day was watching our staff members’ children enjoying the day. We [the ARA of New Jersey board] are already working on planning next year’s summer social.”

“The outing was a great event for our company. We were able to give a little bit back to our employees and families. They were very excited, and the kids had a great time,” says Ryan Malcom, owner/operator, DAM Event and Equipment Rental, Mount Olive, N.J.

Kyle Richardson, manager, L&A Tent Rentals, Trenton, N.J., who also serves on the ARA of New Jersey board, agrees that the convenience of ticket-ordering and the all-inclusive pricing of the event made it possible to maximize the number of participants to come together for the fun.

“This is an event we look forward to every year. We feel it is an easy way to get our staff together and have a great day. We were fortunate enough to have roughly 70 of our employees and their families join us this time, and the best part is seeing our staff’s families get to enjoy the day,” Richardson says.
