In memoriam: Michael Liptak Jr.

Michael Liptak Jr., 91, died on June 18, 2022. Liptak, his wife Marvine, and brothers Lawrence and Jake, founded ALL Erection & Crane Rental in Cleveland with a single crane in 1964. Through the decades, it grew into the largest privately held crane rental company in North America, with 33 branches across the continent, a fleet of more than 3,500 cranes and an employee roster totaling more than 1,500 people.

Up until his final days, Liptak was still involved in the daily operations at ALL, visiting branches and offering his advice and expertise. His son, Michael, is currently CEO and president of the company.

Liptak is survived by his wife; children, Michele Rados, Connie Swan, Vicki Ashworth and Michael Liptak; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and siblings, Larry Liptak and Carol Campbell.
