The far-ultraviolet sanitation carts from Larson Electronics, Kemp, Texas, utilize far-UV eximer lamps that emit 222 nanometers (nm) germicidal light to inactivate up to 99 percent of viruses, bacteria, mold and spores. The non-toxic lamps are eye and skin safe, allowing the cart to be used in occupied areas without UV exposure risks, the company says. Multiple lamp configurations are available. The carts feature a center rail for guidance, portable wheels or flat base, stainless-steel construction, timers, wireless remotes and motion sensors, and lengthy line-in cords for mobility. Some of the features depend on the model.
