Planning for The ARA Show underway

Jan. 10, 2021

With the start of the new year, plans are in full swing to deliver an event full of buying, networking and fun — all of the excitement that exhibitors and attendees are accustomed to. The ARA Show™ returns to Las Vegas, a popular destination with attendees, Oct. 17-20. This will be the first time the show returns to Las Vegas since 2013, and the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and Resorts World, the headquarters hotel, both offer many exciting opportunities and experiences for exhibitors and attendees alike.

One feature that the LVCC offers is outdoor exhibit space which will allow exhibitors to provide product demonstrations. This has been a long-time request of exhibitors and many companies are taking advantage of the opportunity. “We’ve had numerous inquiries regarding outside space and some of our larger exhibitors have already contracted space both inside and outside the hall, which is a very encouraging sign,” says Christine Hammes, ARA vice president, association services.

Resorts World, opening in summer of 2021, is a state-of-the-art facility with numerous amenities. This resort hotel perfectly matches technology and luxury with something to suit every preference. Guests at one of the 3,500 premium hotel rooms can access entertainment, dining, shopping, gaming and a world-class spa all in one place. Resorts World will host several events throughout The ARA Show.

A brand-new feature at the Las Vegas Convention Center is The Boring Co.’s Loop system that consists of high-speed autonomous electric Tesla vehicles that connect various halls and can cut travel time to a fraction.

“If you have ever been to the Las Vegas Convention Center, you know it’s a massive 200-acre campus. There are two tunnels — each nearly a mile long — that will connect one end of the campus to the other. Instead of an estimated 15-minute walk, attendees can get from point A to point B in one minute,” says Tony Conant, ARA CEO. “As an adopter and a fan of technology, I look forward to checking this out.”

Hotels for the show will be available for booking in February, so watch for more information to come. “It’s important for all show attendees — and exhibitors — to book through onPeak and utilize the contracted room blocks offered at specific hotels. This provides ARA the opportunity to negotiate the best rates and enhances the appeal of The ARA Show to different host cities,” Hammes says.

Later this month, ARA members will receive a “Save the Date” mailer with important information and key milestones related to The ARA Show. Members are encouraged to keep this mailer and engage with the show social media channels for chances to win prizes in the coming months.
