ARA Coronavirus Discussion Group: Visits from vendor representatives

Sep. 13, 2020

The ARA Coronavirus Discussion Group on Facebook allows those in the equipment and event rental industry to discuss what’s going on in their businesses and ask questions to fellow members during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Each week, Rental Pulse will highlight a post from the week that garnered attention about a specific topic. This week’s post discusses the feeling around manufacturer/supplier representatives visiting rental stores during COVID-19.

“What are your thoughts about seeing vendor reps at this point in the pandemic? Many have been working from home since the COVID-19 outbreak. Are you ready to see them just yet or do you think they should wait a little longer before coming to visit you in person?”

This post has more than 35 comments mainly from rental store operators. Most are very happy to have any vendor representatives visit, but would like them to schedule a visit ahead of time and follow safety guidelines. Some would be open to outdoor visits to stay safer.
