Carey Lohrenz — the first female F-14 Tomcat fighter pilot in the U.S. Navy — will present the keynote address, sponsored by ARA Insurance, at The ARA Show™ 2021 in Las Vegas on Oct. 18. The Keynote Session will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by the opening of the trade show floor.
During the session, Lohrenz will share her fascinating experiences operating in one of the world’s most challenging environments — an aircraft carrier. She also will talk about the fundamentals that helped her win under pressure, reduce errors and overcome obstacles.
Lohrenz is used to working in fast-moving, dynamic environments where inconsistent execution can bring catastrophic results. These challenges are not that different from what equipment and event rental businesses face: Markets change, customer needs evolve and so does the need to adapt quickly.
As a high content keynote speaker, who is both motivational and inspirational, Lohrenz’s message inspires fearless leadership and increased team performance. Her message also focuses on excelling during challenging times, something that many in the industry may find relatable after navigating through a global pandemic.
Lohrenz is the author of “Fearless Leadership: High-Performance Lessons from the Flight Deck” and is currently working on her master’s degree in Business Administration in Strategic Leadership.
