EETC Service Technician Certification
The need for highly skilled technicians to service outdoor power equipment in the rental industry has increased as equipment has become both more sophisticated and more expensive to replace. For this reason, the American Rental Association (ARA) teamed with the Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) to offer its members a technician certification program. These certifications provide an industry standard for measuring the skills and knowledge of technicians.
Certifications currently are available in seven different areas:
- Two-stroke engines
- Four-stroke engines
- Compact diesel engines
- Electrical
- Drivelines/hydraulics/hydrostatic
- Mobile generators
- Reel technology
