Compensation and Benefits Report

The new 2012 Compensation and Benefits Report allows you to discover via online (premium version) or in print (standard version) how your rental business compares with the rest of the equipment rental industry regarding salary and employee benefits.

With the online (premium) version, you can:

  • Access the report electronically 24/7.

  • Drill down and aggregate the report by the criteria you set using the compensation calculator.

  • Create customized reports that allow you to look at multiple criteria at once and then download those reports in Excel or PDF format.

With the print (standard) version, you will receive a hard-copy of the aggregate report.

The data in both versions is compiled with information from more than 400 American Rental Association (ARA) general member rental stores in the United States and Canada. Rely on this information for:

  • Details on average, median and starting compensation levels for both salaried and hourly employee titles.

  • Breakdowns by annual revenue, revenue mix, community size and geographic region.

  • In-depth information on health insurance practices, retirement plans, vacation and other leave policies.

ARA members who participated in the 2012 Compensation and Benefits Survey will receive either online access or the hard-copy version for free. ARA members who did not take part in the survey may purchase the report (online or print versions) for $150. Nonmembers will be charged $450.
