Who We Are

In 1976, the ARA Foundation was established as the Rental Equipment Industry Foundation (REIF). Our sole purpose was to provide scholarships to promising young students looking to enter the industry.

Today, the Foundation continues its work to strengthen the industry and guide it into the future with programs that serve a variety of industry needs:

• Scholarship Program

The Foundation is expanding the scholarship program for 2008/2009 - 23 scholarships worth a total of $37,000 will be awarded. This includes 10 scholarships worth $1,000 each for technical/vocational school or community college students, 10 scholarships worth $2,000 each for college or university students, two scholarships worth $2,000 each for graduate school students and the ARA Insurance Services scholarship worth $3,000. • Rental Executive Advisory Program (REAP)

This one-on-one business consultation program connects rental owners seeking advice on any aspect of their businesses with a REAP advisor, an experienced rental professional.

• Rental Industry Disaster Relief Resource Center
• Rental Industry Disaster Relief Program

This is a one-of-a-kind rental self-help fund created following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005.

Also in development are international rental exchange and career initiative programs.  With your support, even more programs can be added in the future. The Foundation relies entirely on your generosity. We believe in taking care of those within the rental industry, and we invite you to be part of that giving spirit.
