C.E.R.P. Course OfferingsWithin the C.E.R.P. program you are required to take three courses and pass their respected exams prior to applying for graduation. You may select any of the offerings below, but one of your three courses must be the Foundations of the Party and Event Rental Industry. Each course has been developed by owners in the party and event rental industry and are geared for both owners, managers and employees. Foundations of the Party and Event Rental Industry (Required)Covers the history of the rental industry, rental processes and procedures, products and services, and customer and business relations. Course includes Think and Party Event video and Nature of the Party & Event Rental Industry video. Course also includes Building Success and Profits in the Party and Event Rental Business CD. TentingCovers the development of the tent rental industry including the types of tents and accessories; the tent rental process from planning the installation to preparing the products and from setting up the tent to taking down the tent. Course includes Party Tech Training: Staking and Anchoring video and How to Install a 30' x 45' Rope and Pole Tent/Making It Work 4 –Tent Personnel Training video. Linen Processing SpecialistCovers setting up an in-house laundry, fabrics and linens used in party rental, laundry chemistry and processing, managing linens and laundry and field experience. TableTop DesignCovers the evolution of the tabletop design and current trends, tabletop inventory, designing displays, working with customers, handling the design and budget of an event, and field experience. Course includes Party and Event Consultant: Tabletop Design video. Warehouse ManagementCovers cleaning and storing products, organizing and maintaining the warehouse, handling equipment and containers, delivering and receiving products and maintenance and field experience. WarewashingPlease specify either English or Spanish. Covers inventory management, dishwashing procedures, maintaining warewashing equipment, cleaning and sanitizing. Everyday Warewashing video is included with the course. Introduction to Sales: From Closing to UpsellingCovers sales fundamentals, conventional sales techniques, value added selling and how to close a sell. Plus you will receive two CDs from one of the top sales experts and Anaheim 2003 speaker, Jeffrey Gitomer. Driver and Delivery OperationsCovers rental delivery driver operations, the delivery process and vehicles, pick up and warehouse procedures, working with a crew as well as customers, dispatching and general safety. |
