ARA Staff

Chief Executive Office

The Office of the Chief Executive is responsible for the management and administration of the ARA staff and programs, with overall responsibility for ARA subsidiaries and the ARA Foundation. This includes volunteer and industry outreach, organizational planning, coordination of the Board of Directors and implementation of policies established by the Board. ARA recognition programs and commitee/task force service are administered by this office.

General Member Services/Education and Training/Information Technology

General Member Services/Education and Training/Information Technology is responsible for direct service to ARA members on the benefits of ARA membership. Conducts and manages operational functions of general membership, customer service, order fulfillment, education/business products, research and information technology (IT)/Web. Coordinates programs with ARA Insurance.


Finance/Administration is responsible for ARA budget and accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. This department also oversees the ARA state/local/provincial associations functions.

Marketing & Communications

Marketing and Communications is responsible for providing key information, strategic programs and tools to support our members and the overall growth of the industry. Specific activities include: The Rental Show, associate member service support and the facilitation of meeting and events. We produce communications channels such as Rental Management, Rental Management DIGITAL, Rental Pulse, the Who’s Who Membership Directory, ARA Advantage newsletter, Events Pros newsletter and assist in the generation of educational and informational materials to support our members and the industry as a whole. Public/Media relations and advertising are managed through Marketing and Communications.

Government Affairs

Government Affairs is administered by ARA staff in Washington, D.C., and Moline, Ill. Conduct and manage government affairs legislative and regulatory program work at the federal and state levels. Responsible for development and coordination of grassroots legislative activity at the ARA state association level and coordinates with their state legislative committees. Implement the National Legislative Caucus in Washington, D.C., and State Legislative Days in state capitals. Monitor and communicate key policy issues of interest to members and the industry. Administer ARAPAC, the political action committee of the ARA. The ARA member benefit of National Equipment Register is administered in Government Affairs.
