
Board of Trustees
A volunteer board of trustees that includes rental business professionals and an industry manufacturer/supplier works with ARA staff to oversee the Foundation and its programs.
The 2011 Foundation board of trustees includes (top to bottom) Doron Broadfoot, Catherine DeBusk, CERP, Delores Crum, CERP, Peter Maginnis, Andy Cooke, CERP, Dave Garton, Mike Flesher, Hal Roe and Chris Wehrman.
Board of Trustees Purpose
The ARA Foundation board of trustees is responsible for the development of policies and implementation; procedures to achieve the vision, mission and goals of the organization; monitoring the organization’s financial well-being, programs and overall performance; and for providing the executive director with the resources to meet the needs of those the organization serves.
The Board of Trustees Responsibilities:
- Set policies
- Serve as industry ambassadors
- Secure adequate funding for the Foundation
- Monitor finances
- Measure and monitor programs
- Create and update strategic plan
- Advise executive director regarding staff resources
Trustee Qualifications:
- A passion to serve and a willing heart
- Demonstrated leadership within the industry
- Strong knowledge of the rental industry
- Have built relationships with other key rental industry leaders – both ARA members and nonmembers
- Representative of the diversity of ARA’s members
- Have the time to commit
